Preparing students and a workforce for the big data tsunami: summary of recommendations from the iNEURO project workshop
The iNeuro Workshop convened stakeholders from a variety of disciplines and perspectives to determine what the workforce of the future will look like in Neuroinformatics and what curricula would prepare them for their roles.Participants noted that that neuroscience as a whole is becoming increasingly quantitative. Further they saw a need for novel computational and quantitative skills to handle future Neuroinformatics demands. The iNeuro Project described curricula that would provide for an adequately trained workforce. This presentation will give a summary of the workshop findings and recommendations.
